Black Rhino Expeditions offers activity-based adventures where you command your vehicle through amazing terrain, enjoy incredible geology and dig into the rich history of vanishing ghost towns. Allan Shareghi, a Department of the Interior Senior Geologist, will be  sharing his vast knowledge of Death Valley, and educating us on the geology of Death Valley. Thank you, Allan.

Here is the planned itinerary for our March 13-15, 2020 Expedition.

On this trip, we'll have a photographer and videographer along to record/capture this trip so that I may use them for future trips.

Check the itineraries listed below.

We'll be camping on Friday night at Wildrose Campground, and spending Saturday night in Beatty. Accommodations are available at Death Valley Inn. Book your room(s) online, or call to make reservations: (775) 553-9400.

FYI- Your Booking Fee for this expedition is separate/different from the Hotel Accommodations.

Please ensure that your vehicle is ready for three days off-road. Oil change, fresh fluids, belts, hoses, fuses, ECUs, etc.
Bring extra spare tires, if that applies to you. (Shah) ;-)
Bring the usual kit- water, FRS radio/Ham Radio, camera, chargers, batteries, extra memory cards, food for on the trail, etc.

Weather Forecast: It will be beautiful weather, perhaps 75-80 degree highs during the day. It will be cooler on Friday night at Wildrose Campgrounds. Prepare accordingly.

Saturday night's halt will be at the Death Valley Inn in Beatty.

Meet at the Maturango Museum in Ridgecrest at 9 am.

Leave at 9:30 am.

•  Trona Pinnacles

•  Fish Canyon

•  Ballarat

•  Wildrose Charcoal Kilns

•  We'll spend the night at Wildrose Campground.

Day 2

Wildrose Campground to Beatty Nevada


Wildrose Campground Driver's Meeting - 9 am.

Leave at 9:15 am.

We plan to visit:

•  Aguereberry Point

•  Stovepipe Wells Village (refuel, if needed)

•  Chloride City

•  Chuckwalla Canyon

•  Tarantula Canyon

•  Beatty

We'll spend the night at Death Valley Inn in Beatty.

Beatty Nevada to Furnace Creek


Meet in front of Death Valley Inn at 9 am.

Leave at 9:15 am.

We plan to visit:

•  Rhyolite

•  Titus Canyon

•  Salt Creek

•  Death Valley Visitor Center (pay Entrance fee- approx. $15/vehicle)

•  Furnace Creek Ranch (lunch stop; shopping at General Store

•  Golden Canyon/Zabriskie Point (hiking)

•  Artist Palette

•  Badwater
